01 · Thesis
Anyone can model it. We verify it.
The category is worth more than anyone has yet built for it, and most engines racing into it stop at the same place: a number a computer produced. A modeled number is a good estimate. It was never checked against the real world. That is the ceiling of a model. It is not an insult. It is just the limit. We are further along than a slide deck: a number checked in the water, running under a real sovereign relationship in the Caribbean, with credits in development on a path to issuance. Observed, checked, and being built toward issuance. That is a different thing from a guess, and it is real.
02 · The gap
Where the field stops. Where OCN goes.
Same ocean. Two sides of one line. The line is simple: has the number been checked against the real world and put under a real relationship, or only estimated? The left is where a model stays. The right is what it takes to move a number across into verified, field-calibrated, sovereign-authorized ground, and it is the harder side by a wide margin. We are on the right.
Modeled
- Dollar values put on nature's benefits: estimated, never checked
- How much life a stretch of ocean holds: modeled from a distance
- Model outputs and future projections: the demo, not the thing
- Value ranges from a simulation: a spread, not a verified number
Verified
- A real stretch of ocean under a sovereign relationship with the government that owns it
- A number field-calibrated in the water, not inferred from a screen
- A method built on peer-reviewed blue-carbon science
- A record that carries its own source and cannot be quietly rewritten
03 · The moat
Four things a better model cannot copy overnight.
A better model does not catch up here. Each of these is a relationship, a field campaign, or a chain of trust. They take real time and real standing to earn, and you cannot code your way past them.
A live sovereign pilot in the Caribbean, not a projection
We run under a real relationship with the government that owns these waters. There is a real stretch of ocean, and there is a signature that grants permission and jurisdiction behind it. Most others show you a model of a place. We show you the relationship. One authorized stretch says more than a billion acres a computer guessed at.
A method built on peer-reviewed blue-carbon science
The method is ours. The science under it is peer-reviewed blue-carbon work, and the method has been reviewed against the standards professional auditors use. We sit at the front of the assurance cycle, feeding it primary observation rather than competing with it. A better model does not get you here. Standing does.
"In order to build that economy, we need three things. We need the science, the accounting... [and] the legal framing."
Ralph Chami, economist (former IMF), TED 2022
A working sovereign relationship on the ground
We watch the waters a country legally controls, from space and in the water, and we do it under a real relationship with the government that owns them. A model cannot have a sovereign behind it. A competitor cannot build a government relationship in a quarter.
A product already deployed with a major fund administrator
Our observation layer watches these places from space and in the water, running every day: eyes overhead, sensors below, ships tracked as they move. The same intelligence layer is deployed and in daily use with a major fund administrator. This is not a prototype waiting for a customer. It is a real product a serious institution already runs.
04 · Is this real
Bring your diligence. That is the pitch.
The fair investor question is: "Isn't this the same modeled ocean-carbon story everyone pitches?" It is not, and we invite you to look. Every claim carries its source and what it does and does not cover. You see the same thing three ways: on the live dashboard, in the report, and in the feed other software plugs into. Most others hand you a story. We hand you something you can inspect: real observation, a live sovereign pilot, a product already deployed, and credits in progress.
05 · Tailwind
Finance runs inside an ecosystem it cannot see.
The demand for ocean proof is not a hope. The institutions that move the money have already said, out loud, that they need it. We are the layer that makes the ocean readable first, then provable.
The largest pools of capital in the world have said, in their own words, that they lack consistent ocean-economy data. The demand is not something we are guessing at. They asked for it. We are the layer that answers.
Companies already have to file environmental reports, and the rules are only tightening. Our proof slots straight into the forms they use. When the disclosure comes due, we are already the thing that fills it.
The demand is real and waiting. Serious buyers want verified supply, and verified supply is exactly the thing that does not exist at scale yet. We built the verification. That is what they are pulling for.
06 · The diligence room
What you get to check, in order.
- The field campaignThe work we do in the water, not from a screen. The field calibration, each check traced back to the stretch of ocean it came from.
- The method and the science under itOur own method, built on peer-reviewed blue-carbon science, reviewed against the standards professional auditors use.
- The sovereign layerThe signature that grants permission and jurisdiction. The live pilot a government is party to. The relationship a competitor cannot code around. Credits authorized and in progress.
- The running platformThe live observation layer, watching from space and in the water, already in daily use, and deployed with a major fund administrator.
- The verify-and-trace disciplineEvery claim carries its source. Nothing gets quietly rewritten. Observed, field-calibrated, authorized, sealed.
07 · The ask
One authorized stretch of ocean, verified in the water,
says more than a billion acres a computer guessed at.
The whole field will get built. Everyone will have a better guess. Being further along than a deck, with a number checked in the water, a live sovereign pilot, a product already deployed, and credits in progress, is rare. That is the asset. Open the room and look.
